Hi everyone! So happy to be back after the hectic holidays...

This post is a great one to start the new year.

Lets all gather together and make this year the most wonderful 2009.

We can start by cleaning up our spiritual and physical selves.

We can start by asserting ourselves in whatever aspect we are

weak.

We can start by claiming that we will all become stronger

spiritually,

and

that we will stand tall no matter what happens in our lives.

Yes, this is what these two little fellas in this painting are

NOT doing!

They are simply blending in with their world.

They are too frightened to assert themselves!

Fear is our worst enemy.

Soooooo

lets leave these little soft and mushy fellas behind

and

ASSERT ourselves for 2009!

Our dreams can come true!

This painting is a drastic change from what I do. I enjoyed doing it. Sometimes as an artist it's wonderful to let loose, and not be soooooo intense. When I paint a philosophical/spiritual work of art it's extremely draining. This is why I cherish these fun and whimsical works when I'm fortunate to do them.
