OH SPARKLY NIGHT...

OH SPARKLY NIGHT...
6"x6"

A night to reflect on your dreams,

A night to remember your past,

A night to look up to the sky,

A night to recall the Creator,

A night to recall the creation...

OH SPARKLY NIGHT...

Many thanks to all of you for commenting on my previous post.

It was a very difficult post to put into words and to show.

You are all a special group to attack it straight on....

Congratulations!

I strongly urge everyone else to visit these blogs.

They'll appreciate it.

Thank you.

Ok now,

Why the mental vacation?

Because I needed it....

That's all...

That was short and simple! :)

Enjoy "WHO RULES?"

It's lighter and airier than my previous post.

I suppose I could say it is a battle between

MAN and NATURE...

That doesn't sound too light and airy...

Does it?

Sorry...I can't help it.

It's just ESCUDERO at work.

I wish you all an incredible weekend.

A VERY SPECIAL TRIO

A VERY SPECIAL TRIO
10"x8"

I want to introduce Ann (left), Carol (middle) and Margaret to the right. These ladies are the most incredible quilters. Maybe I should call them MASTER QUILTERS. This title suits them better.

Yes, like I said in my last post, every Thursday morning @ 9a.m. I make my way over to the Lutheran church, and I always find the most beautiful ladies quilting away. They will quilt a complete bedspread for anyone, charge a minimal amount, and then donate it to a family or person in need.
Talk about back braking work!

It was always my dream to live in Lancaster, PA because I wanted to live near the Amish, and I wanted to learn how to quilt. Well, my dream came true, and now you can find me in a wonderful little town near Lancaster. I met these incredible quilters, and they are so kind to be teaching me, so for Christmas I decided to give them a painting! This little jewel is the result. I think it's very special because it's meant for A VERY SPECIAL TRIO!

Hope you enjoy it.

P.S. Shhhhhhh don't tell the ladies.....it's supposed to be a surprise! :)

PRIMITIVE MEETS MODERN

PRIMITIVE MEETS MODERN
6"x6"

Hi everyone!
It seems like it has been centuries since I last posted.
I've been busily working away.

I've got my bug series coming up soon.
One is finished, and I am working on the other one.
Can you believe that I am looking forward to showing these to you.
Actually, I really like the one that I just completed.
I must be delirious...
very delirious...

Thank you so much for all of your support for my new store! You have been simply incredible. You are all an awesome bunch. I really appreciate your comments!

Some have suggested that I add prints to the store. I think it is a stupendous idea. So I'll look into it, and then I'll let you know.

____

"PRIMITIVE MEETS MODERN"

May the two meet!

There always seems to be a conflict between the two

The real question is...

Who will over power the other?

Which is more valuable
to you
to me
to society?

TIME
is the only one that WILL decide...

ONE DESERT DAY...

ONE DESERT DAY
6"x6"

I just want you to pause for a few seconds and just contemplate the serenity of this painting.

I thought that it would be good to change my format for this one post,

because I understand that we are going through troubled times,

and that it's not easy to get past tomorrow...

The only comment about the election is that I ask that we all stay united!

Lets not let this election divide us as a nation...

We are ONE NATION

Lets treat each other with love and respect...

Now lets go out and vote!

I wish you the best.

HOW LONG WILL IT BE?

HOW LONG WILL IT BE?
6"x6"

First of all, how is everyone doing? Hope all is well in the blogosphere...(hmm I don't know if I spelled that one right - oh well....if anyone out there can tell me it will be appreciated)

Ok, it seems like it's been a while since I last chatted. I guess since my last Yakity Yak post, I didn't feel like talking either. The politicians have out done themselves. Please don't get me wrong....I am very much into this election, I guess my internal psyche is rebelling, because YOU SAID WHAT? was born.

These political statements are arising...I just finished another one that I will be posting in the near future. It's called GET OFF MY BACK! I really, really, really, like that painting, and I'm so excited about sharing it with you. I won't tell you when so that it will be a surprise.

Now about the above painting. Hmmmm like most of you know I don't work conceptually. I simply begin with a circle or design and proceed to add more until I have the final painting. As a result, the final outcome will be spontaneous, and from the deepest recesses of my soul.

HOW LONG WILL IT BE? is about my nostalgia for my native state, Arizona. I frankly don't feel too homesick right now, because I'm having one big party time with all of you on this blog, and because I am looking forward with great anticipation to open up my wonderful ETSY STORE. But, this sad painting surfaced, and what can I do but share it with my favorite friends.

Enjoy, and please work real hard at having the best weekend ever. Bye - Veronica

Oh, by the way, that poor topsy turvy head sticking out from the top of the painting is my dearly beloved hubby, Bucky. He's always there for me, he's always moving so that I can be near the galleries, etc.; and he is just a very very special fella...but....he's upside down! hmmmm

A MOVING BILLBOARD!

Hi everyone - It seems like it has been agessssss since I last visited with all of you dear ones!

Well, I have been a busy bee at work. It took some doing to catch up with my art. I ran out of paintings to post. Due to my artistic diligence, I now have 2.

I'm really excited about both of them. I'll post the 8"x10" on Frid
ay. By the way, it's a surprise! It's just one of those paintings that I really like!

Then on Monday, I will post the second one. That's a sentimental stinker. Hmmm.

For now, I just have to share these photos with you. First of all, I need to talk a little about my husband, Jose. I call him BUCKY! I like that much better.

For some reason I never got used to his name. The reason for this is that when we met in Mexico City, Mexico, we both belonged to a Yoga organization. Bucky was being prepped to become a
Yogi. His yogi name was SAVITAR. I grew to love the fella with this name. I married him as Savitar, and I had my daughter while he was called Savitar. So it was very difficult once we left Hatha Yoga to revert back to his original name. It was totally alien to me. Since we became Christians along the way, we were asked to leave the past behind, and return to our original names. This meant that my beloved Savitar would cease to exist. Since then I have called him Jose, and many more names. The name Bucky seems to be sticking.Wow, that was long winded of me. Now let me continue my story! My husband and I are cross-country truck drivers. My husband is the one that drives on a full-time basis, and I fill in when he doesn't have a partner. I'm a backup gal. Thanks to the fact that I don't have to go out all of the time with him, I can paint and promote my art.

When we went to Branson, we also went to pick up our new Peterbilt truck. Bucky and I decided that I could use it to advertise my blog, and at the same time design a scene for both sides of the truck (Sparky). Sparky was converted into a MOVING BILLBOARD!

I would be remiss if I didn't s
hare it with you. It depicts Bucky contemplating while looking up at the moon and stars. And now may Sparky please show his face.................

HURRAY.....I'M SOOOOO HAPPY TO BE BACK!

UP CLOSE
6"x6"

Hellooooooo to all of my wonderful angelical commentators! You are incredible! I am soooooo happy to be back, even though while on vacation I did my civic duty to post the minimal amount of images, drop cards etc. Whew... is my husband incredible! He was so good about my staying up until 2-3 almost every night.

It is so exciting to blog. I think I am enjoying it a lot, and do you know why I'm enjoying it? It's because YOU make it happen. That's it! I have met the kindest and most awesome people on this site. I am simply speechless! For this reason UP CLOSE can't stop smiling. She has the HUGEST, HUGEST GRIN IMAGINABLE!

We had an amazing time at Branson! I highly recommend it to all. But I just have to mention 2, no 3, no 4, no 5 (just joking) events that were incredible! Really I want to recommend 2. They are:

1) The Shepherd of the Hills Play (Wow!!! I read this novel and was so moved by Pete. I even later went and called my guardian angel after this character found in the play)

2) The Andy Williams Variety Show! Yes, even though I might be up in age, I don't like the music that I was brought up with. For those of you that are young whipper snappers don't worry, you'll still have fun going. My husband dragged me to this, and I came out a new Andy Williams convert. I strongly, strongly recommend this to all.

Why do I recommend these two?

Because Pete says that they are fun,

Pete loves the flowers, and the tweedy birds,

and Pete loves all of Escudero's commentators, Entrecard droppers

and

Pete is just a friendly kind of fella.

Yes, Pete says so!

Thank you again for being here on my blog. I also have some more good news for you tomorrow. For now, I'll just leave it for tomorrow.

Take care of yourselves

Veronica

LIFE IN THE BIG CITY

LIFE IN THE BIG CITY
6"x6"
$50

This fella is looking a little bit frazzled. Sure he's carrying a wilted bouquet of flowers, but he just can't get his act together because he lives in the BIG CITY!

The good thing about big cities is that as I said before, there are museums, galleries, galleries and more galleries, and lots and lots of places to shop!

The good thing about a small town is that people are friendly, there are cutsie little shops, low crime, and lots of teeny tiny festivals all over the place!

So you see both are good and fun.

Enjoy
